Mr. Ghislain Chouinard holds a Master of Science from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the Université de Moncton. 

From 2016 to 2021, he served as Vice-Chair of the Advisory Committee (ACOM) at the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). Previously, he had a distinguished career at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where he contributed to fish stock assessments, scientific advisory services, and the management of research programs. 

His career reflects strong expertise in marine resource management and fisheries science.
